Friends of ACES

The Foundations Friends of ACES was founded in 2018 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Foundation aims to support the Academic Center for Evidence based Sports medicine (ACES) in the broadest sense to improve the clinical care for the injured (elite) athlete and to help facilitate the scientific research and to encourage education of young colleagues.

Within our ACES Education Program, we continuously train medical professionals, residents, students, coaches and athletes.

(Under)graduate education
ACES gives lectures and small group electives in the BSc Medicine program at the University of Amsterdam. Our research staff and PhD students supervise bachelor thesis research projects. Within the MSc Medicine program, ACES provides scientific rotations and clinical electives.

Postgraduate education
ACES staff actively participates in (inter)national courses in the field of Orthopedics, Radiology and Sports Medicine, including the IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine. We enable blended interactive learning as well as Meet the Expert electives.
